GOD DAMN APPLE!
I ruined my Macbook Pro, and had to have it replaced. The so called "Genious" bar destroyed ALL my documents, made me lose 8000 songs, and the past 6 months of my facilitating the building of Sandy Hook's Chase's Place Children's Center and all they could say is if you're not happy you can return it.
*You lose 6 months worth of work.
*Jeopardize a $50,000,000.00 project (the work lost had been my 30 day stay in Sandy Hook and all that I "thought" had been accomplished in my attempt to build a children's center.

Return it. UGH!!!! This is when I long for my IBM Thinkpad days. I've never ever had a problem AND my i-Tunes corrected themselves.
So, I have a problem with a new $1700.00 machine and I go into the Apple store on 14th St, here in NY. We fuss and do whatever... and I ask about the migration they said they'd do. "Oh we can't do it for you." "Well, before it was purchased they said they would." I snarled. "Oh no, I can show you how to do it." OK..... I say.
ReplyDeleteWell, I did it, but there was a problem with iTunes, so I made an appointment to the genius bar. "Hey buddy. I just did a full migration as I was shown, but I'm worried about all the duplicates." Ah, if it were me. I would manually transfer what you need. Then you can erase the old migration and erase the old migration. Just rename the user you manually transfered and that'll be your main account.
VINNY told me that that was like taking a sledge-hammer to something only warranting a minor chisel.
As a result I LOST EVERYTING. ALL MY DOCUMENTS and 8000 songs.
GONE.
